Rosie Fortescue in Charlotte Simone Popsicle Fur Scarf
In case you haven't heard (and we have no idea how that could possibly be the case), fur is huge this season. Whether it is a handbag, coat or scarf, designers are shouting from the rooftops that fur is back, and more colourful than ever. Furry shades of cobalt, tangerine, and bright, acid green have all cropped-up on runways, blogs, and street style mavens, providing a refreshing blast of colour to what can traditionally be a very muted seasonal fall palette. Not one to be left out of an important trend, UK reality television personality Rosie Fortescue is taking full advantage of this trend by rocking one of Charlotte Simone's Popsicle scarves.
Charlotte Simone is an accessories brand that was founded by designer Charlotte Beecham. As a student in Paris, Beecham was inspired by the effortless style of the Parisian women she would see every day; they seemed to possess an ability to create an entire look around one simple accessory. The Popsicle scarf, as worn by Fortescue, is one of Charlotte Simone's most popular designs, and is a perfect example of this accessory-as-centerpiece philosophy. Fortescue's black and baby blue Popsicle scarf is a perfect topper for her cutout crochet dress (a girl will definitely get cold in that!). The fur provides an interesting contrast when paired with the texture of the dress, and the combined raccoon and fox fur of the scarf adds an element of unabashed luxury.
The popsicle scarf has been making waves since its launch in 2011, and was most recently featured in the October 2014 UK editions of Vogue, Elle, and InStyle.
